KICK OFF TO SUMMER

We painted our tree stump. (3rd year)

Watered lots of flowers in hopes of survival.

Took a nice evening cruise. A big thanks to the Gios.

Savored some popsicles. Red, white and blue of course.

Toured the block in Matt's golf cart....many, many times.

Devoured lots of food.

Rested in the sand.

Smashed peanut butter sandwich followed by sand rolling. You don't even want to know where I found sand.

Did I mention that we also managed to fit in:
~Soccer practice.
~Waterford point tube slide.
~Baseball practice. (canceled when we got there)
~Trip to the dump.
~Wegmans for all the weekend goodies. (forgot debit card in my pocket from getting gas the night before) Drove home and then back again.
~Made two salads, and dessert.
~Finished planting flowers.
~Vacuumed up grass at least 5 times.
~Helped kids in and out of bathing suits at least 10 times.
~Survived a swarm of bees on my friend Meg's pontoon boat. John helped to rescue her dog Max from the lake.
~ Stopped for worms. Carter and John caught lots of rock bass and sunnies.
~Bought a birthday present for our very dependable babysitter (Reenie as the kids call her).
~Drove down to Bulter rode beach thinking we would take a nice swim...no life guard?? Cut backs?? We dipped our toes.
~Went to the parade where I had to break up a brawl over a darn tootsie roll in front of the veterans who have risked their lives for us.
~Witnessed a bounce house bloody lip and a slip and slide bloody nose.
~ Enjoyed a root beer float and loved watching Carter look through his Disney scrapbook...(Thanks Aunt Molly).
~ Printed out over a years worth of photos...in book up to August 2009 when I noticed I skipped a month....back to print and on hold.
~ Roasted marshmallows.
Purely and utterly exhausted and back to the grind. I guess that is what summer is all about.
